Also published on  TR Emeritus . This is my 100th Singapore-themed post!  Presenting to you the magnificence of an immortalised affinity, AKA a certain timeless friendship in my life regarding “Singapore Recalcitrant.” As an INFJ, I’ve always spent time thinking of quality vs. quantity when it comes to my relationships and friendships. Like any good relationship, a good friendship is one that’s mutually supportive and acts as a source of joy or inspiration to both friends. Side Note: I’ve prepared and edited many scripts for the  Optimal Relationships Daily  podcast show, hosted by the lovely Joc Marie! Check it out for tips on improving the ...

The intricacies of A Timelesss Friendship

Jess Chua was a vivacious Singapore damsel who studied at the Temasek Polithecnic but dis not have a tertiary education. She was imbued with a patriotism that abhors injustice. So she set up a website titled Singapore Politics where she she merrily posted jocular caricatures of the iniquities of  Lee Kuan Yew and the PAP. Lee was initially amused but over time he became disconcerted and showed his fangs. It became imminent that he was toying with inviting Jess  Chua as his guest in his holiday bungalows in Onreat Road. Jess had a premonition  and promptly decded to hightail to American as a safe haven. Thus Singapore sadly lost a picturersque political narrator who had enlivened the mind of the Singapore public.. Jess Chua was undeniably highly intellectual and her writing had paled some of the more established  writers. I did not know her but she watched my blog Singapore Recalcitrant and was fascinated by my postings. She contacted me and we became friends. S...

The world the romantic playground of the rich and mighty

Love is a many-splendoured thing is the most touching love story of the time. It was made into a movie with hugh box office success. The world the romantic playground of the rich and mighty and maybe some enterprising homo sapiens with some ending in tragedies. Let's come back to Singapore politics. We have a bunch of demi-gods siting on PAP political pantheon dispensing so-called golden service to the gullible public. They do this while pockeing millions of people's money. Why do they need so much money to provide service. Lawrence Wong pockets more than four times the salary of the American President .Do you think this is sane? What do they want to do with so much money if they cannot take it with them to their graves? Are they really thinkinf of bequeathiig the money to their desesdants? Lawrence Wong as Prrme Minister overshadows Lee Hsien Loong in performance. He has the gift of the gap which he blithely portrayed locally and abroad. He flabbergasted local gullible listene...

Pritam Singh a National Hero

Pritam Singh is indeed a national hero by all  accounts. The PAP Petir critical criticisms to rought such an avalanchhis unsolicited interview with the prominent Malaysia podcast "Keluar Sekecap" have brought such an avalanche of iniminical brickbats from discerning Singaporeans that they will have to lick their wounds for a long time. Why is the facetious wag Lawrence Wong keeping reticent. It will be interesting to hear what fib will come out of his big mouth. Never have Singaporeans shown such unity in casticating the character-assination of the political opposition leader by the PAP wallahs. I think overnight Pritam Singh's political standing has risen to such a dizzying height that Lawrence Wong will be morified in any future attempt to spar with him especially to get pass him with his sleight-of- hand. This is not the first time nor will it  be the last the abject arrogance of the PAP wallahs has dented quite deleteriously its local and international persona which ...
