The National Day Rally 2025

 The Narional Day Rally 2025 was PM Lawrence Wong's cynosure of flexing his muscle  locally and worldwide to demonstrate his political omnipotence in governing Singapore to bring it to world pinnacle and the people to a utopian state. He is so obsessed with his ingenuity that he does not believe that this is beyond him.There  were cosiderable hypes to draw public attenton to the event. 

As expected the venue was full to capacity with an expectant audience including ministers and  prominent public to listen to the demi-god mesmerise them with his oratorical histrionic. He showed himself as quite a linguist and  the audience was dazzled by his witty oration. Anyway the audience was a captive audience and expected to show adulation by their applause where he said something that tickled them. I had said previously that Lawrence Wong is an immaculate story-teller like our Crazy Lee (李大傻) of the old days.

He covered almost every topic in his momentous address and on the surface went down very well with the audience. Anyway it cannot escape his vainglory that he had won the heart and mind of the people with his sleight-of-the-hand jugglery which gave him a false sense of tranquility of mind. Of course you get a number of commentators analysing the undertone of the message of the oration invariably in praise of the orator for his exemplary foresight'

But is it all that smooth sailing  for PM Lawrence Wong?  Are there no patriots who dare to voice no disabuse to the semi-god.?  The netisons are not daunted and took the lead in highlighting the flaws in Lawrence Wong's speech like high cost of living, housing affordability, and others. How culd Lawrence Wong be remiss in addressing these topics.? Was it a deliberate oversight? It will be interesting to hear what he has to say.

Then you get Workers' Party Pritam Singh who made incisive remarks on lack of political space for the opposition which Lawrence Wong cannot deny. PSP Leong Mun Wai added his vitriolic almost like Pritam Singh but more profound.

Will Lawrence Wong have the sanity to give a very unimpeded expiation on the political flaws that he remissed in his speech so as to disabuse the public of his probity of truly serving the public without any ulterior motive.

 My dear high and mighty PM Lawrence Wong. A penny for your thought. May I have the honour to ask you a simple question that is boggling the mind of the Singapore public? Would you be so kind as to give us a clear explanarion why is it you and your avaricious ministers need such obscene astronomical salaries to perform so-called golden public service to the people of Singapore. What is the criterior that you need more than our times the salary of the American President to serve Singapore? A birdeyes-view of the general election 2025

 The general election 2025 will take place by end of November 2025. So it piques the political parties to start a universal campaigne to entice the loyalties of the electors to vote for them in the GE. Quite naturally the PAP with its resources lost no time in the electioneering in pre-empting the opposition by sending their potential candidates to visit voters to endear themselves with them to vote for the PAP.  They are definitely in an advantage over the opposition in the bras de fer for votes and would likely romp home  quite easily. Needless to say this is going to be a zugzwang to the opposition and whatever they think it will definitely affect their chances of deminishing the votes of PAP.  PM Lawrence Wong expressed fear that the opposition may dislodge the PAP in the GE but he really said it with the tongue -in-cheek and within him he was never so sure of retaining power.
