Are you a crook masquerading as a gentlemen?

 There is a similar Chinese idiom The crow becomes a Phoenix 乌鸦变风凰。

The get-rich you PM Lawrence Wong and your horde of avaricious ministers are extremely delighted in amassing the people's blood and swear money (血汗钱) to enrich yourselves under the pretext of providing golden service to the public. The late David Marshall had commented why do they want so much money when they cannot take it with them to their graves. So we must ask PM Lawrence Wong..What or how do you and your affluent ministers want to do with the money? It can last you for more than three generations living in luxury and still left with an enormous amount.

You and your ministers wallow in luxury with the millions you amassed while the people, especially those those low-income group with large families, who have to face core inflation and high cost of living. While you and your ministers feast on banquets they they and their families are almost exisiing on famish diet, even on breadcrumbs. You think it's fantastic but to them it's just outrageously preposterous and deceitful and they cannot help but believe that they are being looked at as some idiotic imbecile led by their noses. Yes, you provide them with some succour with their money and probably intoxicated  that you have definatively resolved their livelihood hardships and can continue your amassing of people's wealth, You must be living in a fool's paradise because your succour can only help them to subsist,especially the low-income ones and can be only ephemeral.  You cannot really believe that it can go on without end. They will go back to square one when the succour ends and suffer again the hardship of core inflation and high cost of living. It's a vicious cycle and may never terminate. But PM Lawrence Wong and his ministers will still wallow in luxury.

Here is something that defies imagination. PM Lawrence Wong is indeed the envy of some world leaders because of his flamboyance in his character to fantasize his so-called political wizardry ln and out of Singapore especially his mobile and static story telling building castles in the air as the Chinese call them(空中楼阁。

Finacially and intellectually he can hold a candle to the superb Malaysia PM Anwar Ibrahim but character-wise he is hopelessly inferior. Anwar is so divinely humain and benevolent that he provides pro bono public service to his people who must regard him as some kind of diety. Why cannot PM Lawrence Wong follow his divine footstep to provide pro bono service to the people of Singapore?  With his wealth amassed form the people he could easily do it but he just does not have the Anwar's exquisite character to do it. At least as a redemption of his inhumanity he could now reduce the obscene astronimical ministerial salaries.

DPM Gan Kim Yong in every aspect is the best personality in the Cabinet. With his benign-looking persona he easily overshadow  the thuggish PM Lawrence Wong.The contrast is so obvious that Gan Kim Yong could easily romp home in any contest.
