The Year of the Horse

The year of the horse will be an aupicious year. The Chinese saying: Horse arrival brings universal success (马到功成), vibrancy and an ambitious zenith of progress. This is a fire horse The much-vaunted PM Lawrence Wong could not miss the opportunity to flaunt his masterpeace of flattery in his budget speech 2026  by delivering an enormity of manna from heaven to hook the gulliblle public that there is democracy and egalitarianiism  in Singapore while pocketing millions of people's sweat and blood money to enrich themselves. Is that what you would call probity? The people could take off their blinkers to see the duplicitous persona of our probitous top political masters but for some esoteric reason they turned a blind eye.  Are they overawed or obsequious?  Maybe a conflation of both. Behold a democracic and egalitarian Singapore under the auspicious pro-people administration of a bunch of so-called altruistic PAP office-holders under the intriguing mastermind of a devious PM. Will there be a point where they say it;s enough and cease the plunder? Not likely in the near future but the advent of a renascence of Pritam Singh from political desecration by the lofty PM Lawrence Wong could provide a holistic good run for the money of PM Wong. You don't think so. But his formidable forceful performance in the last general election put the fright of shit out of a mortifying  PM Wong.  It was just unfortunate that Workers' Party did not do better with a more fewer seats.

Pritam Singh is a never say die political fighter who is a constant threat to the political career of PM  Lawrence Wong. He showed this in the last general election when he struck such a terrifying fear causing a hysterical Lawrence Wong to to cry that he would lose three or four ministers in the GE. Pritam Singh was able to expose his vulnerability as under an artificial facade of bravado PM Womg was really a paper tiger in constant fear of the advent of a Wu Song (武松) the famous legendary Chinese tiger killer. Can Pritam Singh be the modern Wu Song? This is for the people to decide.

It may be interesting to digress a little. It may or may not surprise anyone but there seems to be a possibilty that DPM Gan Kim Yong evolving character  may be in contrast to PM Lawrence Wong He seems to have mellowed to a more genial interlocutor. Lawrence Wong's behaviour gives the impression of a street fighter but Gan Kim Yong's the impression of  tai ji exponent more endearing to the public .Do you think there is any possibility of the combination of Gan and Pritam Singh?. Gan Kim Yong will certainly lead a more pro--people government in contrast to the thuggish Lawrence Wong.You never know miracle can happen.
